For the tomorrow

Gleaming stars stare back at me
Affirming that they heard me
Not everyone can comprehend this
Aching soul smiling with bliss
But I'll leave the contemplation up to you
What’s part of me is part of you too
Are you happy when you're all alone?
Aimlessly walking on this path forlorn
Unable to let go, stuck in one place
The mind once a garden now a dreary space
Trapped in head, suffering inside
Suffocating thoughts, imprisoning lies
The restlessness, the longing in your sighs
The fear, the expectations in your eyes
But being broken isn’t a new norm
There’s always a way to survive the storm
Just one step can change the course of life
From the darkest hour, through the toughest time
With the little courage amidst thousands of sorrow
A hope, a promise of new, effulgent tomorrow
The soul that feels empty inside
Needs just a touch of love to revive
